CSR strategy: roadmap and narrative

This international company specialised in leasing and fleet management did not yet have an overarching corporate social responsibility (CSR) strategy. Our sustainability team helped the CSR manager to define and pinpoint the strategic ambitions and commitments. Because of the international scale (the organisation is active in 20 countries), arriving at an ambitious and shared view of sustainability was a challenging exercise. The vision presented lays the groundwork for the subsequent CSR approach in the various countries in which the company is active. The result is an authentic strategy based on five impact domains:

• climate action, with electrification as a focal point

• road safety

• community engagement

• vital people

• diversity, equity and inclusion

In collaboration with the internal project team, we assigned clear ambitions for 2025 to each of those domains. We also drew up a roadmap together, establishing clear targets and KPIs. The targets are measurable and SMART-defined.

Finally, we used those SMART objectives to solidify our communication. A written storyline, frameworks, and illuminating infographics complete the CSR strategy, turning it into a practical document.

First sustainability report

As soon as the CSR strategy was finalised, we threw ourselves into the organisation’s first sustainability report. The client was able to count on us for environmental consultancy, strategic copywriting, and graphic design. We also took the lead for the content and layout of the infographics, which facilitated their use as standalone items within other communications.
